The Electoral College: This is the only way a candidate can get elected president. Each state has a different ammount of electoral votes which prioritizes surten states over others. Who ever wins over 270 votes gets the presidency.
When A President is elected they are automatically given a term, which is four years. If the President is relected than they get another term, however that is the maximum terms a president can run for.
The Vice President:

If the president is unable to continue his term becuase of Impeachment, death or resignation the 22nd ammendment alows the VP to take charge.
